Where To Buy Aldi Wine |LINK|

Aldi is in 38 states, plus Washington D.C. and counting. Having added Louisiana to the list earlier this year, now Mississippi joins it with 5 Aldi stores and 2 opening soon! There are over 2200 Aldi stores, but not all of them sell alcohol. Here are the states that sell wine, beer, or both. Note that times and days those alcoholic beverages are sold may vary per state. Check your store for details.

where to buy aldi wine

Click to get the current report and list!Among the chief similarities (aside from their raving fans) is the focus on private label brands, including in wine. And while TJ's also mixes in a fair amount of national brands, ALDI does not. In fact, in many ALDI USA stores, the only wines available will be private label.

Just like a lot of other retailers, they do this to cut out middlemen and drive down prices. It seems to be working because while the overall selection of wine at ALDI USA is not huge -- unfortunately, we don't get the amazing selection that the UK and European stores do -- the prices are CHEAP with almost everything less than $10.

Typically stocked with a number of stand-bys for red wine, white wine and bubbles, they also rotate in special selections to change up the assortment. We cover both types here in our constantly updated list of The Best ALDI Wines!

And one last note, if it's your first trip to ALDI and you're planning on stocking up on wine, don't forget a quarter for the shopping cart and to bring your own bags! (And also be sure to stop by their excellent cheese section for some great pairing options.)

The official word from Aldi is that they stock beer and wine in all United States stores where they are allowed to. State and local liquor laws govern where beer and wine can be sold. In some states, grocers are not allowed to sell alcohol at all. In states where it is allowed, some cities have passed ordinances that forbid it.

And even where grocers are allowed to sell alcohol, it requires a liquor license. Cities often put limits on how many of those are available. So, if Aldi comes in and all the liquor licenses are taken, that store is not going to stock beer and wine.

Aldi stores in the United States sell a mix of imported and domestic wines and beers, some under their own labels. Some wine and beer is carried as regular stock, but many labels are introduced as Aldi Finds or Special Buys, and they are only available for a limited time. You can also find hard cider in many Aldi stores.

Perhaps the most talked about Aldi wines are varieties in the Winking Owl line, which is exclusive to Aldi. Prices vary based on local taxes, but in most locations, Winking Owl is available for less than $3 per bottle.

Winking Owl wine is currently available in the following varietals: Merlot, Cabernet Savignon, Shiraz, Sweet Red, Chardonnay, Moscato, Pinot Grigio and White Zinfandel. There is also a white blend and a red blend available in boxes under the Winking Owl label.

The hard discount grocer said Wednesday that customers can now order wine and beer online through its Instacart page at shop.aldi.us, or via the Instacart mobile app, and have it delivered the same day, where permitted by state and local laws.

To see if their local Aldi supermarket qualifies for delivery of alcohol, shoppers visiting shop.aldi.us or using the Instacart app enter the city and store location. Customers ordering alcohol must be age 21 or older and are required to enter their birthdate at checkout and present a valid government ID at the time of delivery.

Wine, in particular, has become an increasingly popular purchase at Aldi stores as the Batavia, Ill.-based retailer continues to win awards for quality and value. Premium private label wines continue to grow in sales industrywide.

Yes! Their everyday wine collection includes more than 60 labels, and most cost $10 or less. Throughout the year, they also sell limited-time unique and specialty wines as part of their ALDI Finds program at great prices.

Mimosas are traditionally made with orange juice and Champagne, but you can pair any bubbly (like Prosecco or other sparkling wines) with a variety of juices and fruit garnishes. Creating a mimosa bar lets everyone customize their own unique cocktail. And buying everything at ALDI lets you do it affordably.

Aldi is fast becoming our go-to destination for the best cheap wines (opens in new tab), with this budget supermarket offering a huge number of high-quality wines at irresistibly low prices. This roundup of the best Aldi wines includes budget bottles under 20.

Like Lidl wines (opens in new tab), Aldi's wine selection has received a lot of attention over the years for having gained multiple medals - gold, silver, and bronze - from very prestigious wine competitions like the International Wine Challenge (IWC) (opens in new tab) and the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) (opens in new tab). Both are hugely respected, and judges from around the world blind taste-test the wine to pick the best ones. But do you know which ones to pick when you're hitting the aisles?

Rated highly among Aldi shoppers with an overall rating of 4.5 stars. "Excellent red wine, a good accompaniment to meat dishes or just on its own, and excellent value too," said one shopper. Another added; "Full-bodied, smooth and fruity - a lovely Shiraz, especially at this price."

A full-bodied French red wine with aromas of mulberries and plum, this wine is perfectly paired with red meats such as roast lamb. It's a smooth wine which is hard to believe its just 14.99 a bottle.

Floral notes, pineapple, and peach - this is a refreshing, fruity wine that is just perfect served with chicken, seafood, or salads. A bottle of this award-winning wine is just 7.99, which is hard to believe. You can also buy this bottle in bulk priced at just 95.88 for a case of 12 bottles.

"We first knew about this wine 25 years ago when we were holidaying in Sorrento, Italy. I had been looking for it for some time when by chance it was recommended on Saturday Kitchen, to be found in M&S at 10 per bottle. They had none in stock so I googled it and located it in Aldi at less than 8 per bottle. What joy and thanks to Aldi, as I had never shopped there before."

Bag a bargain with this bottle of Specially Selected Roussanne 2020 at just 6.79. Awarded 90pts at the IWSC Awards 2021, this bottle is a favourite among wine tasters for its elegant taste of apricot aromas.

This is a gorgeous colored wine that reminds me of a sunset depending on the light that hits the bottle. The colors range from light pink to a light orange. Holding the glass up to my nose, I smelled strawberries, strawberries, and more strawberries. The longer I sniffed, I did start getting a bit of a deeper flavor, which could be due to the elderflowers, which can have a bitter taste the longer they steep.

From an initial impression, they all seem a fairly big step down from what we get in the Costco Kirkland wines, which are often region specific, and originating from not only popular regions, but renowned ones too, around the world. The Winking Owl wines also do not carry a vintage on them. But to be fair, their price is much lower.

I had 30 mile Cabernet from Aldi. To me it was awesome. I think it cost $15.00. Also I had a real champagne from France it was also a little higher in price but was also excellent. I tend to avoid $3.45 Dollar wines if I can.

I buy most of my wines between Costco and the military liquor store on my nearby Army base. But I have to say, the winking owl pinot Grigio at Aldi is excellent....tart and fruity. I pick some up whenever I'm shopping there.

This site is 100% independently written by fans of Costco wines with the goal to build a community of like minded Costco wine fans, and to share great wine picks so we all can find bottles that we enjoy.

"Light and refreshing, this bubbly has notes of peaches, wild spring flowers, and citrus fruit with a bright clean finish," Richards explains. She says it's great on its own, but even better in bubbly, sparkling wine-based cocktails like spritzes and mimosas.

Richards says that this wine is a true representation of a traditional New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. "It has a rich mouthfeel on the palate and green fruit notes such as apples and pears," she explains. You'll also catch aromas of tropical fruit and green bell pepper, which sounds weird, but is strangely delightful.

If I had to crown a top Aldi product, it might be the Winking Owl wine. Aldi's domestic and international wines continually beat out more-expensive bottles, topping the charts and winning awards for flavor.

I've made my self-professed wine-snob friends taste test Winking Owl, and they always swear it tastes more like a $20 bottle than a $3 bottle. I've even seen customers buy whole cases to cater weddings. If Aldi can't sell wine in your state, it might be time for a road trip.

If you have a sweet tooth like me, Choceur's peanut-butter cups are it. They're perfectly bite-size with a creamy center, to the point where the satisfaction I get from the peanut butter bursting in my mouth should be studied.

Similarly to their chocolate selection, Aldi has excellent cheeses from grass-fed cheddar to gouda and everything in between. These fancier flavors range in price anywhere from $2 to $5, according to some reports. Their cheese gets amazing reviews and even wins international awards. 041b061a72
